A driver involved in a one vehicle crash about 9:13 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Monroe County, has been cited.

State police at Lehighton said Eric J. Samson, 26, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2000 Kia Spectra southbound on Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township, and approaching Doney Road when he lost control. The car crashed into a tree at the intersection.Samson was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance for treatment of what troopers said were moderate injuries.The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Samson for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
