A domestic incident in Schuylkill County led to the jailing of a county resident.

State police at Frackville said they were dispatched to 17 Jerrys Road, Ringtown, in Union Township, about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, for a report of a 9-1-1 hangup. Upon arrival officers spoke with Michele Erica Beaver, 52, of that address, who said she had been struck with a piece of metal by her husband, George Samuel Beaver, 53.Troopers said Mrs. Beaver had marks on her left arm and back. Beaver was taken into custody and charged with simple assault. He was arraigned by on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and jailed in the county prison, Pottsville, after failing to post 10 percent of $15,000 bail.
