NFL looking to play

more games in LondonNFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is hoping to add a second regular-season game in London and says the move will be discussed at the owners meetings this week.The league played its first regular-season game in London in 2007 when the New York Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins 13-10. Since then, there have been three other annual games played at Wembley Stadium, and on Oct. 23 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Chicago Bears in the English capital.Avalanche retiresForsberg's numberPeter Forsberg had his No. 21 jersey retired by the Colorado Avalanche before the season opener against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.The team raised a banner with his name and number to the Pepsi Center rafters, where it will hang alongside those of Joe Sakic (19), Patrick Roy (33) and Ray Bourque (77).In his prime, Forsberg was one of the best two-way players in the NHL and helped Colorado to Stanley Cup titles in 1996 and 2001, along with winning the league MVP award in 2003.
