A Luzerne County man was jailed recently on charges stemming from an incident in Kidder Township.

Township police said Christopher Simmons, 27, of West Hazleton, was picked up on a warrant by West Hazleton police issued to the township police. He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. The incident occurred on Sept. 24 along Quail Run Road, in Split Rock Resort.Simmons was arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis, of Jim Thorpe, and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 bail. Cpl. Neil Yurchak is the arresting officer.
