A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Lehighton said Scott E. Hoats, 43, of Lehighton, was stopped for a motor vehicle code violation about 9:22 p.m. on Sept. 28 along Bridge St., at White St., in Weissport.Hoats was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.
