A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft.

State police at Fern Ridge said about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, Mary Catherine Howard, of Old Stage Rd., in Brodheadsville, was observed on video surveillance concealing baby items in her purse inside the Weis Market, located along SR209 at Weir Lake Rd., in Chestnuthill Township.She then allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
