Lehigh Township Festival to benefit Dream Come True, BRC

For those who love cars, good food, entertainment and fun, stop by the Lehigh Township Benefit Festival and Car Show on Sunday, Oct. 2, at Becky's Drive In, 4548 Lehigh Drive, Walnutport (Berlinsville). The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Raindate is Oct. 9.

The event opens at 8 a.m. Breakfast will be served in the refreshment stand until 10:30 a.m.Throughout the day, there will be a car show hosted by Blue Ridge Rod and Custom Car Club.Hodge Podge DJ will be offering music by screen two.Live entertainment will be taking place through the day. From noon to 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Twitty Fever Band will be at screen one, and the Dream Kids will be appearing at screen one from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and From noon to 1 p.m., Nick Mitchell will perform at screen two. Elvis impersonator will perform from 1 to 2 p.m. at screen 2.Car Show awards will be presented at 3 p.m.Food vendors include Coke and hot dogs by Lehigh Township Lions Club, peach cobbler by Boy Scout Troop 15, haluski, kielbasa, sausage sandwiches and fresh french fries, funnel cake by St. Paul's UCC and Venture Crew 115, barbecue chicken by Lorah's Gap View Farms, apple dumplings by Northampton Lioness Club, pulled pork sandwiches by Nick Deppe, Lehigh Township Fire Co. will have a display. Shady Grove Girl Scout Camp will have Girl Scout cookies, Children's activities include "pumpkin lane," games, pumpkin face painting by Lehigh Elementary sixth grade and games by Susquehanna Bank, Cherryville and Walnutport, hit and miss engine and tractors and a Lehigh Township rail trail display. Shrek and Monkey characters will stroll the grounds. There will also be a flea market and craft show throughout the day. Vendor spaces available.
