Palmerton Area School Board on Tuesday approved the following extra-curricular matters:

- Accepted the resignation of Ralph Andrews as Assistant Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Coach, effective immediately.- Approved, on an 8-1 vote, Steve Hicks as Assistant Girls' Basketball Coach for the 2011-2012 school year at the negotiated contracted pay rate of $3,863. Director Stuart Henrtizy was opposed.
