Benefit concert held for young bicycle victim

Family and friends held a music benefit recently at the Tamaqua Community Center for the family of Caitlyn Konkus, 12, who was struck and killed by a pickup truck last Wednesday in Minersville while riding her bicycle. Providing their services at no charge were Dj Romig, Dj Born, and Homespun. Members of the Tamaqua LEO Club also helped by collecting donations outside Boyer's Food Market in Tamaqua. Pictured from left are event organizers John Bumberger and Amy Walburn with Caitlin's sisters and friends Nicole Krusnoski, 15, and Sandy Carl, 19, right. Also pictured is Adam Bachert, 6.
