This time of year presents many colorful and amazing wonders of nature and none is more striking than the large webs that field spiders spin in Northeast Pennsylvania. The webs - some measuring over a foot in diameter - are so abundant in one field along Route 443 in West Penn Township that some passing motorists could mistake it for a field of cotton glistening in the early-morning dew.
