Enroute from Hawaii, where he was on duty at Wheeler Field on Dec. 7, to Miami, Fla., is Technical Sergeant Joseph Albeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Albeck of East Mauch Chunk. Albeck was at Wheeler Field when the attack by Japanese fighter planes occurred. He wired his parents on arriving in California that he was on his way to Miami, where he was to become enrolled at Officers' Training School. The young soldier will round up three years in the service on Oct. 6.
