A Schuylkill County man is being sought for an assault incident.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said an arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher Michael Pate, 32, of SR61, North Manheim Township, following a domestic incident at the residence he shares with Jennifer Katherine Gernert, 33.According to troopers on Friday, Sept. 16, Pate and Gernert were invovled in a verbal argument. The argument turned physical when Pate allegedly threw Gernert to the ground and began punching and kicking her several times causing severe bruising to her face, arms, legs and neck area.Pate is facing simple assaault and related counts. Anyone with information concerning Pate's whereabouts is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
