Damages were termed heavy to a truck that crashed in Schuylkill County on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Raul Cruz, 57, of Emmaus, was operating a 2002 International truck westbound on Sweer Arrow Lake Road, in Wayne Township, about 11:30 a.m. and negotiating a left-hand curve. The right tires of the truck went off the road and onto the berm. It traveled 66 feet along the berm before re-entering the road.Upon re-entering the road Cruz lost control and the truck which began to spin in a clockwise direction, traveling west about 126 feet. The truck then rolled onto the driver's side, traveled 65 feet west and came to rest facing northwest partially blocking the westbound lane.Troopers indicated that Cruz was injured but did not state if he was taken to a hospital.
