Memorial brick walkway dedicated in Weatherly

Immediately following the Patriot Day-9/11 Memorial Service that was held at the Memorial Monument in Weatherly on Sunday morning, the Memorial Brick Walkway was dedicated at the Memorial Grounds on Spring Street across the street from the Schwab School Building.

The walkway is made of bricks for veterans, parents, children, families, friends, relatives, organizations, clubs, and graduation classes. The bricks placed in the walkway will be a remembrance that will last for decades for anyone the donor wished to memorialize with a message for a loved one, a testament to their group, or as a remembrance.American Legion Post 360 Commander Thomas Keener noted that there is still space remaining for more memorial bricks.Anyone the donor wishes to memorialize does not have to be a veteran or have served in the military.Anyone interested in more information on the Memorial Brick Walkway can contact Weatherly American Legion Post 360 Commander Thomas Keener at (570) 427-8016.
