Adult Day Care

The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center has a variety of activities planned for September, including the monthly birthday celebration on Sept. 19.Other activities for the month will include: Sept. 6, craft day; Sept. 7, bingo; Sept. 13, musical entertainment with Audrey Christ; Sept. 14, visit with Skye the dog; Sept. 21, Salvation Army service; and Sept. 27, cooking class.In addition to weekly sing-a-longs, exercise sessions, a variety of therapies and social games, the center provides for hairstyling and manicure service.Both require advance notice. Evening services are held at 7 p.m. Services for this Sunday and Labor Day will be held at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.Special guests are Evangelist Leon Armstrong and song leaders Jeff and Jeanie Shelburne. Special music will be presented by the Wehry Family on Sept. 4 and Larry Moore on Labor Day, Sept. 5.Bethany ECThe Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church.Nursery care is provided.
