The Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors received notice of the closing of Julie II of Tuscarora, a garment plant located at Route 209 and Walnut Street. A total of 73 union workers and six non-union workers will be terminated. Plant officials said the closing is due to a bankruptcy and rejection, on Aug. 5, by the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union of a July 15 agreement.
