The Carbon County Department of Veterans Affairs will conduct a Patriot's Day (9/11) memorial service on Friday, Sept. 9, at 8:40 a.m. in the Josiah White Park, Jim Thorpe.

All residents are urged to attend and honor those who lost their lives in the tragic events that unfolded on Sept. 11 a decade ago. Fire, police and ambulance personnel, and veterans organizations are also invited to attend.
