The Class of 1961, the first graduating class of PVHS in Brodheadsville, is celebrating its 50-year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at noon, in the courtyard garden at the high school.

After a group photo, class members, spouses and friends who attended with them in either Chestnuthill or Polk, will have a guided tour of the building.A photo video presentation about class members will be shown in the old auditorium. Class members have been asked to submit old informal photos from PV, PHS and CHS.At 4 p.m. the formal school event will end, but for those who are interested, there will be dinner at a local restaurant and possibly a meeting for breakfast Sunday morning.The reunion date has been planned so that those from out of town can attend the West End Fair, which begins Sunday.For more information contact Adele (Ewe) Argot at (570) 629-5718.
