The General George S. Patton Jr VFW Post 5069 of Andreas hosted its 3rd annual All-Veterans Picnic Sunday at Cheese's Grove, Ben Salem Road, in Andreas.

All veterans, not just VFW members, and their guests were invited to attend the free picnic.Some veterans and family members came as far as away as New Jersey and even North Carolina. During the picnic, visitors enjoyed music, theme games, bingo, horseshoes, rides in the pond and other family-oriented games.VFW Commander Ernest Daubenspeck stated his appreciation to Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Commander Tom Fenon for donating the use of his Grove.
