State police at Frackville reported on two crashes investigated by troopers along Schuylkill County roadways on Monday, Aug. 22.

A crash occurred about 10 a.m. along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. Troopers said Michael Long, 44, of Shamokin, was driving a 2010 Volvo truck tractor northbound when he lost control of the truck. The truck crashed into the guide rail and bridge abutment on the right hand side.After impact the truck continued across the bridge and came to rest. Long was not injured but the truck had to be towed from the scene.The second crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. along Millers Road, in North Union Township. Troopers said Patrick Murphy, 61, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2008 Mack truck westbound when it left the road and struck a tree along the north berm.Murphy was not injured but the truck had to be towed from the scene.
