A two vehicle crash in Monroe County has led to one of the drivers facing a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred about 1:33 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, along Weir Lake Road, near Cherry Hill Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Anne Marie Thorsen-Moe, 43, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer northbound while Glenn Hamilton, 54, of Effort, was southbound driving a 2009 Jeep Liberty.Troopers said Thorsen-Moe attempted to pass another vehicle on the left and entered the southbound lane and struck Hamilton's vehicle head-on.Hamilton was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.Thorsen-Moe was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.
