Like totally awesome

Hundred's of 80's music fans attended the Rubix Kube tribute band's "Back to the Eighties" show held at Penn's Peak Friday night. Some fans chose to dress in parachute pants, sunglasses and leg warmers while others carried on with their own personas.

Totally decked out in appropriate 80's attire, the band entertained the enthusiastic crowd, some dressed in leg warmers and mini-skirts, with all types of memorable hits like 'You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC, 'Mickey" by Toni Basli, 'Footloose' by Kenny Loggins and Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. The Eighties, a time when everybody's "Workin' For the Weekend" and parachute pant-clad dudes donned their "Sunglasses At Night", was a wicked cool time when valley girls wore mini-skirts & legwarmers while they "Walked Like An Egyptian."The tribute band was led by Cherie Martorana and Scott Lovelady, a male and female dynamic duo of karma chameleons, able to transform in a-blink-of-an-eye into the voice and character of any 80s icon. Their supporting sidekicks, Eric Presti, David Z, Drew Mortali, Sky, John LaSpina and Michael Maenz, all decked out in their own vintage '80s threads and with enough hairspray to take down Freddy Krueger, The Terminator, Beetlejuice, and all the Gremlins.Prizes were also awarded to fans with the most dedication to 80's attire.Together Rubix Kube was able to crank out Pop, Rock, New Age, Dance and Hair Metal hits from the decade of decadence, and perform them just like the originals yet with their own gnarly twist.
