CCTI gets ready for new school year

The Joint Operating Committee at Carbon Career and Technical Institute discussed the upcoming school year at Thursday evening's meeting. The school year starts August 29th.

On August 17th, CCTI held a new student orientation. More than 300 parents and students attended the orientation including many staff members. Parents and new students were able to ask questions and were given a tour of the school.Principal Brent Borzak stated that parents were asking a lot of questions and were really excited for the student's upcoming school year.This school year marks the first year for the Drafting and Design Technology Program. Currently 18 students are enrolled in the program and the program will be instructed by Jeremy Pease.Construction on the school building is complete. CCTI will be meeting with the inspector on Friday. Last minute details and cleaning up will be complete by the first day of school.Currently 381 students are enrolled in CCTI with 166 of those students being new students.
