A driving under the influence (DUI) charge is pending against a Monroe County man following a one-vehicle accident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a report of a crash about 1:41 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, along Hemlock Drive in Coolbaugh Township. Upon arrival officers found the driver attempting to pull his vehicle out of a ditch.The driver was identified as Matthew Dunham, 21, of Pocono Pines. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.Police said they also found a marijuana smoking device in Dunham's vehicle. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police added.
