Freed Fest held in Tamaqua

Freed Fest: Rock'n'Roll For A Cure was held recently at Schick's Cafe Calcutta in Tamaqua to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The music festival was held in memory of Jim Freed, who lost his battle with leukemia in 2003. In addition, Jody Kuehner, family member, is running in the Philadelphia ING Rock'n'Roll half marathon on September 18th as part of TEAM In Training.TEAM In Training is an organization that competes in half marathons, marathons, triathlons, and cycling events to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Jody's training schedule includes running three times per week and also three days of cross-training such as cycling and swimming.
