Private Joseph Mahala, who was reported a prisoner of the Japanese on June 26 in the Philippine Islands, is now reported uninjured, well, and tells his parents, Mr. and MRs. Frank Mahala, Andreas R. 1, that they should not worry. Private Mahala is interned at Philippine Military Prison Camp No. 13, according to word received by his parents. He was education in Coaldale public schools where he was a former resident. He enlisted in the military in 1939 and is a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, Coaldale.
