BEC holds open house at LCCC

Members of the Business Enterprise Center (BEC), which began constructing their center on the bottom floor of the Scheller Student Center of Tamaqua's Lehigh Carbon Comunity College campus, held a free chicken BBQ open house Wednesday to spread the word about the opening of their center next month.

Students, interested entrepreneurs or visitors were provided the opportunity to learn about the new center while talking with specialists. The BEC is designed to help business students in developing their business plans and has a myriad of resources available to them, including the assistance of entrepreneurs/mentors available to coach students with the design and finance aspect of their projects. Visitors also got the added benefit of enjoying a free BBQ meal. For more information or to register, please visit LCCC's website at
