A Schuylkill County driver sustained minor injuries in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, along SR54 in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Rita Onorofsky, 57, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus eastbound when she exited the road and her car crashed into a utility pole head-on.Onrosfsky told troopers another vehicle was traveling westbound in her lane of travel and she swerved to avoid a collision.Onorofsky was injured but refused medical assistant at the scene. Damages were termed heavy to the front end of the car.Assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the Ryan and Delano townships fire companies and Rush Township fire police.
