The Tamaqua Seniors met Aug. 4 at the Tamaqua Community Center with 86 members in attendance.President Jean Machamer conducted the business session and read the secretary's report. Rose Valle provided the invocation, entitled "Whose Flowers Are These." Vice President Doris Brobst announced Dolores Boyle and Jean Yanick were added to the sick list. Dolores Walck provided the treasurer's report.Plans were finalized for an Aug. 16 day trip to Pottsville to tour the Yuengling Brewery. A discussion took place on trips to the Sands Casino on Aug. 31 and Red Lobster or the Olive Garden on Sept. 12.The group meets every Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the community center. Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join.
