Pocono police report DUI arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

On Saturday, Aug. 6, about 9:38 p.m. during a roving DUI patrol detail along Long Pond Road near Clearview Road, in Long Pond, Tunkhannock Township, officers stopped a vehicle for motor vehicle code violations.The driver was identified as Shane Sprague, 27, of Goldsboro. At the stop police observed marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Sprague. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.A search of the vehicle revealed more marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Sprague was placed under arrest and transported to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.Sprague is facing drug charges with the DUI count pending the test results.On Sunday, Aug. 7, about 5:06 p.m. police stopped a vehicle along SR115 near Murphy's Loft for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Alfredo Munoz, 38, of New Jersey. Munzo was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Fern Ridge state police barracks for a breath test, which showed him over the legal limit of .08 percent.He was charged with DUI and various motor vehicle code violations, police added.Also Sunday, about 9:52 p.m., a roving DUI patrol stopped a motorcycle in the area of the Pocono International Raceway for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Kevin C. Cranmer, 53, of West Creek, N.J. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest.He was taken to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
