State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said the home of Homer Zacharias, 89, of Dottrers Corner Road, in Kunkletown, Polk Townsihp, was entered sometime between 3:30 and 7 p.m. on Aug. 4. Entry was gained by using a chair and tool, which were on the porch of the residence, to open a rear window. Once inside the criminals removed about $25 in change from a glass container, troopers said.
