Two Russian bankers, Erzhan M. Buzurbaev and Georgi A. Shalamov, spent time at the Citizens National Bank of Slatington and received a crash course of approving or rejecting loan requests. Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Francis Burbridge told the two visitors what type of information should be obtained on credit applications, how banks should decide if a lender is capable of repaying a loan, and the important role credit checks play in determining loan approval.
