A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:12 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, along SR904, east of Brady's Lake, in Pocono Lake, Tobyhanna Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers conducted a traffic stop for motor vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Shawn Kingsley, 30, of Pocono Lake. It was determined that Kingsley had been consuming alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
