A Schuylkill County resident is facing a charge of retail theft.

State police at Frackville said Brian L. Dietrick, 40, of Ashland, has been charged with the count, a felony, for an incident at the Kmart store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.Troopers allege that Dietrick entered the store about 1:36 p.m on July 5 and removed merchandise from the electronics department without paying for it.Dietrick was arraigned before duty District Judge David Plachko, of Port Carbon, and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
