Temps dip for a couple of days

For the first time in more than a week, temperatures won't be in the 90s today.

The oppressive heat wave that has us sweating, weary, and complaining, is gone.Today's high is only expected to be 82, says the National Weather Service. Humidity will be much lower than it has been the past few days.The only down side is we're likely to have some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.Then, the mercury is expected to gradually climb each day this week, with the 90s making a comeback on Friday and Saturday.The forecast says Friday's high could be 96. On Saturday, a high of 93 is expected.Evening lows will also be about 10 degrees lower than they've been, says Accuweather, meaning if you like your bedroom windows open, it should be more comfortable at night than it has been.The high pressure system which will bring us the warm air on Friday and Saturday won't stay around long. By next Sunday, the temps could retreat again to the 80s.
