The meeting of July 11 of the Panther Valley Golden Agers was opened with an inspirational prayer recited by the group. Special guest of the day was Sally Mitchell from Weatherwood Nursing Facility. She stated that she would be available 24/7 if anyone needs information regarding admissions and activities.Names are still being taken for the Aug. 22 indoor picnic.Members celebrating birthdays during the month of April, May, June, July and August will be recognized during August.The next meeting will be July 25 starting at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church hall.LansfordFall baseballThe Lansford Baseball Association is accepting registrations for fall baseball. Miller-Keystone is the sole provider of blood to the area's hospital.A goal of 35 pints has been established. Persons planing on donating blood on that day can call the parish rectory to reserve their donor time. Walk-in donors will also be accepted.
