A Wyoming County man was jailed earlier this month following an incident in Carbon County. State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred in the parking lot of their barracks located along SR209 in Towamensing Township.

Troopers said Darryl Hartman, 46, of Meshoppen, came to the lot for a child custody exchange. On previous occasions Hartman was told to park in the area designated for visitors. On July 9 about 6:15 p.m. Hartman came to the lot and was told to move to the designated area. At that time Hartman informed troopers that he was a taxpayer and he owns the building and could park where he wants.After six warnings, troopers said, Hartman was told he was being placed under arrest for criminal trespass. Hartman failed to get out of his vehicle and after being removed he continued to struggle and refused to be handcuffed. He was eventually handcuffed.He was charged with resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before duty District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $35,000 cash bail.
