A Hometown man faces charges after police discovered him slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle on Saturday morning.

Officers were investigating a vehicle parked off to the side on Lafayette Avenue at 7:58 a.m. and found Joseph C. Benny Jr. in a highly intoxicated state. Benny was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center- S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for blood tests.Charges are pending blood test results.
