Two Bowmanstown Boy Scouts, Charles Beers and Ricky Behler, are among the 66 Boys Scouts from the area's Minsi Trails Council who are attending the National Boy Scout Jamboree at Farragut State Park, Idaho. This delegation enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour day tour to the Pacific Northwest prior to the opening day of the Jamboree. During that time, Charles enjoyed his 17th birthday celebration. His father, Forrest Beers, had attended the first National Boy Scout Jamboree held in 1937 in Washington D.C.
