Five charged with operating meth lab arraigned by district attorney

Five area people charged with allegedly operating a meth lab in Quakake, Rush Township, were among 49 defendants who were arraigned Monday in the district attorney's office at the Schuylkill County courthouse and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested jury trials. They were:

Jeremy Allen Snyder, 30, of 62 Heckman St., Quakake, Rush Township; Russell J. Gernert, 31, of Schuylkill Road, New Ringgold; Joseph Robert Holland, 29, of 51 Hollow Avenue, MaryD, Schuylkill Township; Jennifer Dipietro, 28, of 230 Green St., Apt. 2, and William C. Manness, 39, of 326 W. Rowe St., both of Tamaqua.The five defendants are each charged by Rush Cpl. Duane Frederick, with criminal conspiracy, criminal attempt to manufacture of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of chemicals with intent to manufacure a controlled substance.The information filed to court claims police received information from a confidential informant that methamphetamine was being manufactured at 62 Heckman St., Quakake. Officers found a fully operational methamphetamine laboratory and five growing marijuana plants when they executed a search warrant at the property.Others arraigned were:Robert Macharsky, of 322 E. Patterson St., Lansford, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Jeremy Talanca, with endangering welfare of children by failing to have a child secured in his vehicle, simple assault, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person, driving while license suspended, failing to activate turning signals when required and to have seat belt on occupant.Larissa Young, 22, of 121 W. Lehigh St., Coaldale, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Jeremy Talanca, with criminal conspiracy and three counts of endangering welfare of a child.Christopher James Sanders, 22, of 23 Centre St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig, with seven counts of false alarms to agencies, three counts of disordelry conduct and one count of criminal conspiracy.Lawanna Young, 23, of 121 W. Lehigh St., Coaldale, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Jeremy Talanca, with two counts of endangering welfare of a child by failing to have them secured with seat belts and allowing a loaded 45 calibre pistol being passed around in the car.She is also charged with criminal conspiracy, failing to have a driver's license, driving an unregistered vehicle, two counts of failing to protect a child with a restraint system, operating a vehicle with a loud muffler and failing to carry car insurace.Brian Edward Bernotas, 35, Frackville, charged by Frackville Patrolman George Parnell, with burglary of home of David Kekler, 10 N. Broad Mountain St., and theft of a collection of Lionel trains and accessories and criminal trespass by breaking into the home. Bernotas was also charged with burglary of radiators removed from a home at 48 S. Broad Mountain Avenue.Damon L. Oliver, 37, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Patrolman Robert Senape, with three counts of simple assault and two counts each of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.George Samuel Beaver, 53, Ringtown, charged by Frackville Cpl. Marvin Livergood, with five counts of false reports to police and one count of permitting an unauthorized person to drive his vehicle.Robert Walter Merwine, 24, Gordon, charged by Butler Township Chief Edward Tarantelli, with criminal attempt to commit theft in 200 block on E. Biddle St. and loitering and prowling at night.Leon Michael Strine, 32, state prison in Ryan Township, charged by Trooper John Powis with aggravated harassment, simple assault and harassment of correctional officer.Andre W. Hewett, 36, Reading, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.Matthew Thomas Edmonds, 22, Hazleton, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Charlers Blesse, with possession of a controlled substance (CS), possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.Keith Michael Kalkiewiczs, 25, Mahanoy City, charged by Trooper Scott Grochowski with DUI on Gold Star Highway.Amanda Moriah Canavan, 26, Girardville, charged by McAdoo Patrolman Shawn Kistler, with possession of a CS and drug paraphernalia, DUI of alcohol and drugs, careless driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.Holly Amber Schaffer-Heiser, 27, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Chrles Blesse, with DUI of alcohol and drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and failing to have proper rear lights.Timothy Peter Barnes, 46, Bensalem, charged by Trooper James Wixted with burgalry of Saint Nicholas Breaker in Mahanoy Township, criminal trespass and criminal attempt to commit theft of scrap metal.Christopher Brian White, 25, Weatherly, charged by West Mahanoy Township Chief Shawn Tray, West Mahanoy with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a CS and possession and one count each of possession of drug parapahernalia, DUI of drugs and careless driving.Troy Steven Kisela, 25, Mount Carmel, charged by Trooper Scott Grochowski with DUI on Back Road in Weston, Mahanoy Township, failing to give notice of change of name or address and driving with improper headlights.Charles Frantz, 18, Mount Carmel, charged by Ashland Patrolman Daniel Weikel III, with nine counts of robbery, seven counts of terroristic threats, six counts each of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person and one count each of criminal conspiracy with two other people, theft and possession of a CS. The police report claims Frantz with two others robbed Bracey's Pharmacy and brandished a knife and demanded drugs.William Neary Rudiman, l8, Ashland, faces the same charges as Frantz for involvement in the pharmacy robbery.Leanne Micklesavage, 23, Mount Carmel, faces charges of criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and possession of a CS for her involvement in the pharmacy robbery.Jonathan Montalvo, 32, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Patrolman Robert Senape, with DUI, driving while his license was suspended and failing to obey traffic signals.Richard Joseph Jakubac, 58, Mahanoy City, charged by Mahanoy City Cpl. Michael Dissinger, with possession of a CS and stop sign violation.Michael Christopher Garvey, 32, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Chief Joseph Hall, with three counts of robbery of pharmacies, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count each of theft of drugs, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime (handgun).Maurice Giddings, 23, Philadelphia, charged by Shenandoah Capt. George Carado, with delivery of a CS, possession with intent to deliver, possession and possession drug paraphernalia.James Allen Zemaitis, 33, Tower City, charged by Trooper William Volchko with criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a CS, possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.Dawn P. George, with resisting arrest, public drunkenness and two counts of criminal mischief to police car.Dean Loren Elliott, 51, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Schuylkill Haven Sgt. Robert W. Phillips, with receiving scrap aluminum stolen from drop center and criminal conspiracy.Christopher Michael Pate, 32, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, with driving while license suspended, failing to carry car insurance, operating a vehicle without an official inspection certificate and two counts of altering license plate.Carrie Beth Denning, 21, Auburn, charged by Trooper Eric L. Reber with DUI on West Deerview Drive in South Manheim Township and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic.Jennifer L. Principato, 28, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George, with driving an unregistered car, operating a vehicle without an official inspection certificate and two counts of altering car plate.Joseph David Owens, 39, Bernville, charges by Trooper John B. Carr with DUI on Bear Creek Road in WayneTownship, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, careless driving and failing to wear seat belt.Lauren Taylor Sutton, 19, Wilmington, Del., charged by Corporal Michael Sadusky, state police, with DUI of drugs on Adamsdale Road in West Brunswick Township, and careless driving.Justin Reber, 18, Schuylkill Haven, charges by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George, with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault.Daren Nevin Lelvan, 44, Hamburg, charged by Trooper John Sleboda with 18 counts of indecent exposure, 10 counts each of corruption of minors and open lewdness, three counts of sexual abuse of children, four counts of unlawful contact with minor and one count of endangering welfare of child. The police report claims the events took place in South Manheim Township.Patricia A. Krammes-Eiler, 32, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Vincent J. McDonald, with two counts each of corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol beverages to minors.Joseph John Rudiman, 55, Shenandoah, charged by Trooper Timothy Keating with aggravaged assault on police officer, resisting arrest and two counts each of terroristic threats and simple assault.Darlene Ann Serafin, 25, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Lt. Gary Keppel, with theft of leased property from Lightning Rent To Own Store consisting of a complete bedroom set, television and home theatre.Karen Lynn Garcia, 31, Frackville, charged by Trooper Matthew Barrett with DUI on Interstate Route 81 in Kline Township, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic and careless driving.
