Summer Bash Car Show to benefit local Boy Scout troop, United Way

Summer is revving up hot and heavy with all kinds of fun things to do. Like this Sunday, July 17 when the Tri-County Vettes and Brodheadsville Chevrolet gear up their Summer Bash Car Show and Swap Meet from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Brodheadsville Chevrolet, Rt. 209 in Brodheadsville, across the street from Kinsley's ShopRite. This event will be held, rain or shine.

The proceeds from this event will benefit local Boy Scout Troop 86 and the United Way of Monroe County.This event features a car show of all makes and models and participants will judge each class to determine the winners. It is a NCCC 2 Sanction event with a People's Choice and a Poker Show with each registration an automatic entry. Tri-County Vettes members will not be competing against any of the cars in the show.There will be music by the Old # 7 Band, food, door prizes (like grandstand seats for Pocono Raceway, buffet tickets at Mount Airy Casino, tickets to Hershey Park and Iron Pigs, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees games, to name a few,) 50/50 and a Swap Meet (for a space, call for sizes and prices.)You can even pick up a sledgehammer and take a swing for charity at the Bash Car.So pack up the kids, the wife and grandparents because this will be a fun event for all ages.For more information or to register, call John Valinote at (570) 236-0030 or Joe Coniglo at 917-678-8084 or visit on the web at

He will have his 2002 Chevy Corvette convertible with its 350 horsepower 350 engine on display along with other Corvettes from the club.
