About 10 a.m. Tuesday, traffic on SR309 in South Tamaqua, West Penn Township, was stopped for a half hour in both directions when a tractor trailer, driven by Ricky Boyer of Franzosa Trucking Company of Hazleton, experienced mechanical issues after pulling out of Central Spring Services. West Penn Fire Company and fire police assisted West Penn Police officer Melissa Boyer with traffic.
