State police at Lehighton said troopers will conduct roving DUI patrols and a sobriety checkpoint this coming weekend along various roadways in Carbon and Monore counties.

The operation is being conducted in an effort to reduce the number of crashes, fatalities and injuries on area roads.The operation will be conducted during the period of Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17, troopers said.
