A Rush Township woman was remanded to the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville last Thursday after a confrontation with Rush Township police.

Officers were dispatched to 180 Claremont Ave. at 1:51 a.m. where they dealt with Rose Fredericks, 38. Fredericks resisted arrest and was eventually tasered into compliance.She was arraigned before Duty District Judge Carol Pankake, Tremont, on charges of resisting arrest, simple assault and harassment. Unable to post the $10,000 bail, she was incarcerated in the county prison.
