Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, along Kings Way, in Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers stopped a vehicle at the above location and time for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Randolph McCoy Jr., 34, of Tobyhanna,Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from McCoy. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
