The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited a Carbon County business for a liquor code violation.

West End Saloon Inc., 1121 Mauch Chunk Rd., in Palmerton, was cited for failure to return its hotel liquor license and wholesale liquor purchase permit cards to the board after its license establishment had not been in operation for a period of 15 consecutive days between Jan. 4 and April 10.The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
