A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was killed in a crash that occurred about 9:05 p.m. on Sunday.

State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the victim as Robert M. Reb, 51, of Pine Grove.Troopers said Reb was operating a 2002 Yamaha Road Star westbound on SR895 near Grist Mill Rd., in Washington Township. While neogitating a curve the bike left the road and struck an embankment.After impact the bike traveled west about 38-feet before re-entering ther road. Troopers said Reb appearently was unable to regain control of the bike and it turned over onto its side and slid across the eastbound lane, went onto the berm and into a barn. The bike traveled about 185-feet from the initial point of impact to final point of rest, troopers said.Reb was pronounced dead at the scene by county deputy coroner Joshua Hart. Troopers said Reb was wearing a helmet. They added that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.Th barn, owned by Alan H. Felty, of Schuylkill Haven, sustain damage to two of its doors.
