Schuylkill man jailed for assault

A Schuylkill County man was jailed for allegedly putting a gun to the head of his girlfriend during a domestic dispute.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Matthew S. Hummel, of Auburn, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment.He was arraigned before District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, and committed to the count prison after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail.Troopers said on Thursday about 10 a.m. at 324 Commanche Drive, Wayne Township, Hummel put a gun in the face of Angel Pohronezny, of Minersville, during a domestic argument and also grabbed her around the neck and choked her.
