East Penn Township police are investigating a crash which occurred at 6:30 a.m. Monday in front of a home along West Lizard Creek Road (SR895). A young man was traveling east when a turkey ran out in front of him. He swerved to avoid the bird, crossing the roadway and entering a property - knocking down some shrubs, newspaper and mailboxes - before striking a utility pole. The driver was treated at the scene by East Penn Fire Company EMT's and Mahoning Valley ambulance personnel.
