St. John'sOn Wednesdays at 7 p.m. St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, holds an informal worship: a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief musical evening prayer. Bernice Strepko, in observance of July 4, read a tribute to America.An indoor picnic will be held Aug. 8 at St. Joseph's Hall, Summit Hill. Those attending should sign up at the scheduled meetings.Ruth Ann Feane lead the group in patriotic songs.The guest for the next meeting, to be held July 11, will be a speaker from Weatherwood Nursing Home. Meetings are held every second and fourth Monday beginning at 1 p.m.
